As an engineering designer, you would be responsible for creating and developing detailed designs for various engineering projects. You'll work closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives. Based on this input, you'll generate initial design concepts and sketches, exploring different approaches to address technical challenges and meet client needs.
Using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA, you'll create detailed 2D and 3D models of components, assemblies, and systems. These models will serve as the basis for further analysis, visualization, and documentation throughout the design process.
You'll prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to communicate design intent and requirements to manufacturing, construction, and assembly teams. This includes dimensioning, tolerancing, bill of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and other information necessary for production and implementation.
